Pam and her husband Gary always had
different ideas when it came to the
type of home they preferred. He wanted brand
new with all the modern
conveniences. She wanted a vintage style
with character and personality.
Needless to say, they had a bit of a chasm
between them. It was on a trip
to Pennsylvania, that they visited Frank
Lloyd Wright’s famous home,
“Falling Water.” Even surprising himself,
Gary loved the clean lines and the
natural balance between architecture and
nature that the home evoked.
This trip sealed the deal - they had settled
on mid-century modern. In the
search for their new home, they landed on a
beauty in a woodsy, creek
crossed area of Dallas, Texas.
Once the task of decorating began, Pam
poured all of her energy into the
study of mid-century architecture and
design. Several years later, she is a
regular at all of the mid-century furniture
shops in Dallas, preferring to
rehab the classic, vintage modern pieces
over purchasing new. With no
regrets, Pam and Gary have found the
mid-century modern lifestyle to
be a stimulating and fun adventure.
